The White Pekin duck is the most common meat production duck world wide.
Originating in China the Pekin has been exported all over the globe.
They are the fastest growing best feed to meat conversion ducks. They
come in two varieties, the production type and the exhibition type.
The production Pekins will out produce the exhibition Pekins and are the
preference of commercial meat producers. The exhibition Pekin are less
common and highly prized by hobbyist breeders and poultry exhibitors.
We occasionally will order in and feed out or sell a few production Pekins but we are concentrating on acquiring some good breeding stock on some Giant Exhibition Pekins. We will be purchasing eggs on this breed and hope to establish a breeding flock in the near future. |
