Boxer X Great Dane Hybrids are our newest project here at Porterfield Exotics.  We have bred both breeds as purebreds and absolutely love both breeds and have considered doing this cross for some time.  We met a Boxer X Great Dane dog that a friend took in as a rescue dog and absolutely fell in love with him.  So we decided to try this cross and see if they are as well mannered and good looking as he was, we anticipate they will be an impressive and well sought after Hybrid.  The end goal for us should things go as planned is to use these two wonderful, lovable family friendly breeds to develop an extra large bodied boxer looking dog.  The two breeds share many basic body characteristics with obviously size and their heads and muzzles being the most different.  If we are successful at getting puppies with the body and head we want we will acquire more unrelated dogs and repeat our breeding to establish unrelated genetics to start breeding for the exact look we want.  As we strive to develop this new dog we will have a few hybrid puppies available to pet homes.
