Brad Sr. (AKA Dad, Grandpa, & Semi Brad)
  Without this guy there would be no Porterfield Exotics.  Brad Sr. who I call Dad works full time as a truck driver and helps out as much as he can on the farm.  He just turned 65 and is still going strong.  He hits the road every Sunday night and usually pulls into the yard again on Friday night or Saturday morning.  His Grandchildren run to the windows to see Grandpa's big truck pull in and wait at the door to greet him.  It has been his hard work and long hours that have allowed Porterfield Exotics to remain a family operated farming business.  His off farm income has purchased the farm property and paid for many of the improvements that have been made to the land and buildings.  His occupation as a truck driver has also served well over the years in picking up and delivering animals and supplies on his way to and from his destinations.  We can always count on Dad to swing by the farm supply or machinery parts store on his way home or drop off a puppy or farm products to a customer in Milwaukee or Chicago.  No matter how tired of driving he may be when he gets home he is always willing to hop on the tractor and do whatever needs to be done.  He always makes sure there is enough firewood up by the stove for the coming week and that the vehicles are serviced and ready to go.  His hard work and dedication to the family and farm are greatly appreciated by myself and the rest of the family.
